Putting on a concert? Looking for a trusted supplier who can deliver on demanding technical riders and understands time critical show deadlines?
We have decades of experience in delivering beautiful productions in some of the UK’s largest and iconic venues, from Wembley Arena to the O2 Academy’s across the UK. We understand and love this industry, and we can help you!
At Light Design Ltd our main passion is live event lighting and design, where we have spent many years specializing in large scale events covering both concert lighting and video production.
Our approach to concert lighting is simple! First, we engage our clients to discover their needs and requirements, both technical design and rider requirements wise. When it comes to technical riders we are highly experienced in negotiating rider requirements with artists and tour management to achieve the correct solution for the venue size and adapt designs tailored to suit the buildings technical limits.
Questions? Get in TouchQuite often a touring rider will be designed for the largest venue on tour and with a money no object approach to equipment specification. All of our equipment is industry standard, professional equipment so we can always find a solution and deliver a show with equipment listed or similar comparable products within our rental stocks.
We always carefully balance the show to maximise the end production, but working within the necessary budget requirements to deliver. As you can see from the many pictures of shows we have already delivered, we would never consider taking on a project we didn’t think we could make look equally as good as the standard we have already set for our previous concert lighting productions. When it comes to the technical equipment side of concert lighting and concert video production, we only stock the best industry standard equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers.
When it comes to delivering the show, we understand all the necessary requirements to work in the UKs largest arenas right from the start, so can limit the large production workload our clients would need to do.
Your dedicated project manager can liaise with the venue and supply a full technical advance along with production schedule, submitting all relevant H&S docs and rigging plans to the venue all at the same time. We also understand how essential good time management skills are when it comes to 10,000 people turning up to venue with a curtain call of 7pm, so we work tirelessly in the preparation side to ensure on the day production load ins work like clockwork.
Our Clients tell us, both our approach and expert knowledge in areas of Concert lighting production is invaluable to them.
Working with a production partner that actually cares makes all the difference. We find, after working through the pre-production brief, being able to send our clients a full 3D render design showing them what their show will look like, with all critical measurements, gets them excited about their show, finally getting to see it come to life but also allows them to check things way before any issues arise before any equipment arrives on site.
Questions? Get in TouchAs with all of these large scale shows H&S is a major factor for arenas up and down the country and working with someone who understands them is vital for your show to go ahead. We have all relevant H&S method statements, risk assessments, Public Liability and Employers Liability insurances. We also follow all of the UK current H&S regulations and HSG guidelines, i.e. CDM15 Construction Design Management 15, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, BS7909, HSG195, HSG95 to name but a few.
